RADARTASIK.ID – President Joko Widodo released humanitarian aid from Indonesia to Palestine at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
The aid, weighing 51.5 tons and transported by three aircraft, contains various logistical supplies tailored to the needs of the people in Gaza.
”Alhamdulillah, this morning, Indonesia’s assistance for the Palestinian people will soon be sent to El Arish Airport in Egypt, and from there, it will be further transported and distributed to Gaza,” said the President.

The President mentioned that this initial phase of aid is a collective effort from various parties, including the government, the public, and the business community.
He also stated that additional aid is currently being prepared by the government.
”Furthermore, we hope to see more contributions from the public and the business community,” the President expressed.
According to the President, this humanitarian aid is a manifestation of Indonesia’s solidarity and concern for humanity.
He reiterated that the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza is unacceptable and must be stopped as soon as possible.
”I want to emphasize once again that Indonesia will continue to stand with the Palestinian people,” the President said.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhair Al-Shun, expressed gratitude to the Indonesian government and its citizens for the assistance provided to the Palestinian people.

”We are truly proud of your people, your government. Whatever assistance, whatever support, it is more than enough for Palestine,” Ambassador Zuhair stated.
Ambassador Zuhair also believed that the Indonesian people will always stand by Palestine and never leave Palestine alone. He noted that Indonesia understands the struggle of the Palestinian people and fights alongside them.
”Indonesia, as His Excellency (the President) has stated, will always stand with Palestine and will not let Palestine stand alone,” he concluded.
